Web Reference: Szymon Serafinowicz (19 December 1910 – 1997) was the first person to be prosecuted under the War Crimes Act 1991 in the United Kingdom. During World War II he was a commander in the Belarusian Auxiliary Police under Nazi occupation. All alleged Serafinowicz, who had been promoted to district commissioner by the Nazis, had enthusiastically helped eradicate the 3,000-strong Jewish population around the capital of Minsk. May 13, 2025 · However, a copy of our book found its way to Grodno and included information from Scotland Yard’s inquiries into Serafinowicz which helped convict him in the Supreme Court of ‘genocide of the Belarusian people’.
