He was best known as a writer and cast member of the Comedy Central sketch-comedy series Chappelle's Show, and a co-star of the sitcom Black Jesus. Charlie Murphy is an award-winning actress, known for Peaky Blinders, Happy Valley and '71. She features as series regular Makee in the Halo TV adaptation of the popular video game series for Paramount / Amblin. Dec 21, 2022 · Charlie Murphy was a comedian and actor who appeared on "Chappelle's Show" and "Black Jesus". He died of leukemia in 2017, eight years after losing his wife to ovarian cancer.
