[1] He is the second son of Canada's former prime minister, Pierre Trudeau, and Margaret Trudeau, and the younger brother of Canada's former prime minister, Justin Trudeau. Journalist and documentary producer who became of the most well-known Canadian journalists covering the 2003 occupation of Iraq and whose work resulted in the documentary Embedded In Baghdad. He has gone on to produce other socially-conscious documentaries including 2008's Refuge: A Film About Darfur and 2012's The New Great Game. Alexandre Trudeau was born on 25 December 1973 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He is a director and producer, known for Hair of the Bear (2025), Bitter Smoke (2019) and Liberia: The Secret War (1998).
